Questions
Common questions
My recording has no “them”.
Kikko needs System Audio Recording permission to hear your Mac’s sound. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording and turn Kikko on under System Audio Recording Only. Then press Record with a video playing: the Others meter should move.
Kikko can’t hear me.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and turn Kikko on. With a headset, choose it in Kikko’s Settings → Recording.
Summaries say Apple Intelligence is off.
Turn on Apple Intelligence in System Settings, or add your own Claude, OpenAI or Grok key in Kikko’s Settings → AI.
My language isn’t transcribed.
Kikko uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition. If it doesn’t support your language yet, Kikko still records the audio, and you can transcribe it later when support arrives.
I moved my meetings folder.
Kikko notices and asks you to choose it again. Kikko never moves your files.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Kikko’s Settings → Purchase and choose Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I cancel the subscription or ask for a refund?
Manage or cancel it in the App Store under your account’s Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where are my meetings?
In the folder you chose when you set Kikko up: one Markdown file and one .m4a per meeting, named by date. The folder’s path is at the bottom of Kikko’s sidebar.
Known limits
- No iPhone or Windows app.
- No shared workspace or team features: each person keeps their own meetings.
- Transcription only in the languages Apple’s on-device speech recognition supports.
